Project Manager, Modification & Retrofit

Vard Electro seeks a Project Manager who will take the overall responsibility for all aspects of Retrofit & Modification project. This includes initiation, planning, design, execution and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in time, within budget at full satisfaction of the client and consistent with the financial objectives for Vard Electro.

The person we are looking for should have technical background and have a commercial mind-set. You should be an excellent communicator with strong attitude to influence the situation. You also need to be a team player and have a problem-solving attitude and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The position reports to Department Manager, Modification & Retrofit who heads the M&R projects department.

Duties and responsibilities

• Establishing the project organization
• Contract monitoring and responsibility for clarification of contractual and specification factors
• Team leadership, strategic influencing and taking decisions
• Managing suppliers according to contract
• Budget and result responsibility for the project and monthly financial reporting
• Motivating the team
• Monitoring, reporting and communicating project status internally and externally
• Controlling quality and contributing to continuous improvement
• Other administrative tasks in the Projects

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience
• Bachelors degree or higher in technical area – preferable electrical
• Relevant work experience can replace formal education
• Experience in Project Management
• English fluent, both written and oral
