Are you an experienced Technical Writer who combines linguistic precision with strong structure and project execution skills?
We are looking for a consultant to take responsibility for product documentation and translation coordination for a Norwegian technology company with international operations. The preferred start date is as soon as possible.
About the assignment
The main priority is to ensure that the company’s product documentation remains accurate and up to date in line with product changes, launches and input from across the organisation.
The documentation includes user and installation manuals, product sheets and other product-related materials. You will work closely with Product Owners and subject matter experts across the organisation, while coordinating documentation and translations for several international markets.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Planning and managing updates to product documentation
• Writing, editing and quality-assuring English source content
• Coordinating translations into multiple languages through an external translation agency
• Organising internal quality assurance of translations prior to publication
• Following up on changes, feedback, deadlines and approvals
• Ensuring clear structure, version control and an overview of documents and language versions
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Graphic Designers, Supply Chain and Communications
Over time, the assignment may also be expanded to include the localisation of global communications and marketing content.
Who are we looking for?
You have experience as a Technical Writer, Product Documentation Writer, Localisation Project Manager or in a similar role. Experience from technology, hardware or other technical or physical products would be an advantage.
We believe you will succeed in this assignment if you:
• Have experience with product documentation and technical content
• Have coordinated translation processes and worked with translation agencies
• Have excellent written and spoken English
• Have a sharp eye for language, accuracy and quality
• Work in a structured way and can manage several parallel deliverables
• Are skilled at coordinating subject matter experts and maintaining progress
• Enjoy working in an international and cross-functional environment
The working language is English. Most importantly, you are highly confident in developing English-language source content and comfortable coordinating multiple language versions and quality assurance processes.

Location: The assignment can be carried out remotely. Consultants based in Oslo may also work from the client’s centrally located office.
